500 People Were Victims Of Subang Floods, 50 Were Displaced Under The Pamukan Flyover Bridge

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said that the flood victims in Subang Regency chose the evacuation site under the Uncleukan flyover.

Head of BPBD Subang, Udin Jazudin, said that from the data collection that had been carried out, there were 500 families in Mulyasari Village, Pamukan District who were affected by the flood.

"Of the hundreds of affected families, there were about 50 flood victims who fled under the Uncleukan flyover," he said in Subang, West Java (West Java), Monday, February 13, as reported by Antara.

They chose to evacuate, because their houses were flooded as high as 50-80 centimeters aka cm. In addition, there are still residents who still survive in their respective homes.

He ensured that he would try to meet the needs of flood victims, from food to other necessities.

The flood that submerged residential areas in the northern Subang area has occurred since Saturday, February 11 evening.

He said that the flooding that occurred around Mulyasari Village, Pamukan District was due to the high rainfall over the last few days, followed by the overflow of the Cigadung River drain.

For this matter, BPBD Subang will lower heavy equipment to carry out dredging, so that water in the sewer can flow into the Cigadung River.

In addition, his party has dispatched personnel to anticipate the greater flooding.

The area of Pamukan District, said Udin Jazudin, is one of the flood-prone areas in Subang. Almost every year, flooding occurs in the area due to high rainfall followed by overflowing river water.

Meanwhile, on the evening of Sunday, February 12, Subang Police Chief AKBP Sumarni visited the refugees who were victims of the flood under the overpass of Uncleukan Subang.

He reviewed and immediately provided ready-to-eat food assistance such as instant noodles, snacks, bread, warm drinks, mineral water and others.
