JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party responded to the statement by the General Chairperson of Jokowi Mania (Joman) Immanuel Ebenezer, who was considering supporting General Chair Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate (candidate), after withdrawing support for Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo. The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that his party could not hinder the aspirations of the community to support Prabowo as a presidential candidate in 2024, including JoMan volunteers. "Whatever the aspirations of our society we cannot prevent. Including the support from several organizations that yesterday have stated the possibility of supporting," said Dasco at the Parliament complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday, February 10. The deputy chairman of the DPR said that Gerindra had no problem if there were volunteers or certain parties who wanted to support Prabowo as a presidential candidate. However, Dasco emphasized that Gerindra is currently busy with PKB to strengthen the Indonesia Raya Awakening coalition (KIR) for the 2024 presidential election. "After all, we will also focus more on strengthening the internal, PKB coalition in the presidential election," he said. Previously, Jokowi Mania volunteers considered supporting the presidential candidate from another political party, after officially disbanding as Ganjar Pranowo Volunteer (GP) Mania. Chairman of Joman, Immanuel Ebenezer revealed, his party is considering supporting Prabowo Subianto. "Mr. Prabowo, we will definitely support it, it's impossible or not. It's been included in this politics, it's impossible for us not to support it," said Immanuel Ebenezer in South Jakarta, Thursday, February 9.
