Denpasar City Government Prepares IDR 51 Billion For 11 Roadworks

DENPASAR - The City Government of Denpasar, Bali, in 2023 has prepared a maximum budget of IDR 51 billion to repair roads and sidewalks at 11 points in the Provincial Capital of Bali.

The Head of Highways for Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Denpasar City Ida Ayu Tri Suci hopes that this road infrastructure improvement can provide safety and comfort for the community.

"Every year improvements to road infrastructure continue to be carried out, however, it has not been able to cover the whole in a year," she said.

Therefore, the work is carried out in stages by setting a priority scale considering the conditions on the ground.

Tri Suci said that in 2023 11 road repair points were designed according to the priority scale for West Denpasar District, namely the construction of the Pemecutan Klod LC Regional Road, the reconstruction/improvement of Gunung Mas Road, and Gunung Patas Road.

Then, the reconstruction of the Padangsambian Village LC Regional Road and the reconstruction of the road, and construction of sidewalks for Gunung Krakatau road.

Furthermore, for North Denpasar District, namely the reconstruction/improvement of the Pidada Road Area Road, the reconstruction/improvement of Srikarya Road, and the reconstruction of Himalayan Road, as well as the periodic maintenance of Nangka Road.

For the East Denpasar District, namely road rehabilitation and making sidewalks for Teleng road, Noja I road, and Noja II road, road rehabilitation and making sidewalks for Surabi road. Finally, the rehabilitation of the Tukad road Batanghari area in South Denpasar District.

"In addition to improving the city road infrastructure, DPUPR will also work on improving environmental road infrastructure with a target of 33 environmental road points," said Tri Suci.

Tri Suci said that improving city road infrastructure in Denpasar City in 2022 will require a budget of more than IDR 30 billion to complete 11 points of infrastructure or road improvements in the area.
