A group of residents on behalf of the Jakarta Student Central Movement (GCMJ) held a demonstration in front of the DKI Jakarta City Hall Building demanding the Acting (Pj) of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono to curb nightclubs in the Senopati area, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

The GCMJ Field Coordinator assesses that the increasing number of karaoke, bar, and club places in Senopati violates the rules of spatial planning in Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 1 of 2014 concerning which regulates the Detailed Spatial Planning and Zoning Regulations.

"Houses of karaoke, bars and nightlife have mushroomed in the Senopati area of South Jakarta since Anies Baswedan served as Governor of DKI Jakarta," said La Ode at DKI City Hall, Thursday, February 9.

He said that the Senopati area that received the Regional Regulation on RDTR was a zone for village housing and a medium and high KDB housing zone.

However, in changing the new regulation to Pergub Number 31 of 2022, La Ode accused Anies, while still in office, of trying to legalize changes in the use of the area in Senopati.

Meanwhile, according to him, Pergub Number 31 of 2022 cannot be recognized because it does not have legal force. This is because the old regulation, namely Perda Number 1 of 2014, has not yet been revoked.

"In accordance with the applicable law in Indonesia, the regional regulation has legal force compared to the Pergub, which cannot be recognized legally," said La Ode.

"Therefore, in the name of justice based on law, the DKI Provincial Government must take firm action against karaoke, bar and night entertainment places in the Senopati area of South Jakarta for the sake of realizing living space justice for the community," he continued.
