Allegedly Langgar Procedures, Investigators Who Set UI Student Hasya Attalah, A Suspect In The Ethics Court

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Directorate of Traffic who named Mahasiwa University of Indonesia (UI) Muhammad Hasya Attalah as a suspect in an accident case suspected of violating procedural rules. The investigator will be subject to a code of ethics sanction.

"Furthermore, this has also been followed up by imposing sanctions on the code of ethics trial to previous investigators," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters, Wednesday, February 8.

However, the type of sanction has not yet been determined. The trial of the code of ethics against the investigator is still ongoing.

"It has been running, I have told the investigators before that they were given a sanction for the code of ethics trial. The decision is that we are waiting for the mechanism for the code of ethics trial to decide the sanctions. Sanctions already have a process," he said.

Regarding the identity of the investigator and the type of violation, Trunoyudo was reluctant to explain. Information about this will be conveyed after the ethics trial process is complete.

"We will tell you later," said Trunoyudo.

Allegedly, the investigator's mistake was related to the administration of the procedure. This was revealed based on the results of the reconstruction.

"It was found that the administrative discrepancy of the procedure as regulated by the National Police Chief Regulation Number 6 of 2016 concerning Criminal Investigation was related to the process of determining the status and other stages of the case," said Trunoyudo.

Polda Metro Jaya revoked the status of the suspect who had been pinned against Muhammad Hasya Atallah, on Monday, February 6. The reason was that there was a discrepancy between the administrative procedures carried out by investigators.
