Jokowi's Vaccination Procedure Is Like Society, Moeldoko: Just A Waiting Time

JAKARTA - The Head of the Presidential Staff Office, Moeldoko, said that the COVID-19 vaccination procedure for President Joko Widodo will be the same as for the community.

"The president is the same, there is no difference, because the procedure is the same. Maybe the officers come, just open (arm), jebret (injection), finish," said Moeldoko in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Monday, January 4.

He said vaccinating the President, as the first person in Indonesia to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, was just a matter of time.

Moeldoko conveyed that based on the results of consultation with the Food and Drug Administration, it is estimated that COVID-19 vaccination can be carried out from mid-January to the third week of January 2021.

Regarding the preparation for this vaccination, the President has ordered all parties related to vaccines to make good preparations.

"Who does what, how to regulate, what kind of distribution method, everything was given instructions by the President two months ago," said Moeldoko.

According to him, the COVID-19 vaccination mechanism will be carried out like any other vaccination. What needs to be considered is the distribution and technical implementation of vaccination for the public.

"For vaccination at the puskesmas, for example, is the place adequate. If you have to wait (queue), where are the others waiting, it must be arranged properly," said Moeldoko.
