PAPUA - A resident of Kawagit District, Boven Diguel Regency, reported the discovery of a body suspected to be Brigadier John Matthew, a member of the Bintang Mountains Police. Boven Digul Police Chief Akbp Komang Budhiarta admitted that there was a report from the Kouw Police regarding the discovery of a corpse suspected of being a member of the Bintang Mountains Police. The discovery report was at around 14.30 WIT of the Kouw Police. "The village head and the head of the Kawagit District reported to the Kouw Police regarding the findings and the bodies were reported to be wearing only gray jeans," Komang told Antara, Monday, February 6. To confirm this, members of the Pegubin Police have sent members to the Kouw Police using two longboats accompanied by members of the TNI with photos of the victim. "Hopefully the report is true that the victim's body is still waiting for the report because it will take three hours to reach the Kawagit District to the Kouw Police," said AKBP Komang.
