JAKARTA - Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto advised his cadres to set an example of the attitude of statesmen. He reminded the party bearing the Garuda bird to always carry out straight and correct politics.

"We have to set an example. We have to set an example of the nature of statesmen," Prabowo said while speaking at the 15th anniversary of the Gerindra Party at the Gerindra DPP, Ragunan, Jakarta, Monday, February 6.

Prabowo asked no cadres to be traitors or fraudsters. "We must set an example that joining politics with Gerindra is straight politics, the right politics," he said.

The former Danjen Kopassus also welcomes other parties who believe that politics is dirty. However, Prabowo still believes his cadres can carry out clean and straight politics.

"Some say politics is dirty, please. We choose clean politics, straight politics," he said.

Prabowo also welcomes any party who thinks that he is often lied to or betrayed by those around him. He admitted that he would not bother.

"Some say Prabowo is often lied to, Prabowo is often betrayed, it doesn't matter. The important thing is that Prabowo does not lie and does not betray," said Prabowo.

In addition to asking his cadres to run the right and straight politics, he also reminded them to always trust the leadership. "If you don't believe in your leadership, you stop," he said.

"Don't want to be led by people you don't believe, very simple, very simple," concluded Prabowo.
