Indonesia Moeda Kalbar Supports This Sosok Maju In The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Indonesian Volunteer Moeda (IM) for West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) declared support for Erick Thohir to run in the 2024 presidential election contestation (Pilpres). Fuad said this support was a momentum on the day of international resistance by carrying a new leader figure for Indonesia.

Chairman of Indonesia Volunteers Moeda Kalbar M. Fuad Abdullah said Erick had provided concrete evidence in carrying out every mandate given, starting from the success of making Indonesia proud through the Asian Games to the G20 Summit.

"On the day of international resistance, we initiated to declare Erick Thohir's figure as a new exemplary figure for Indonesia," said Fuad in a declaration and political discussion on Jalan Purnama II No.20 Parit Tokaya, Pontianak City. West Kalimantan, Saturday 4 February.

Fuad assessed that Erick's leadership ability is very appropriate to develop Indonesia more advanced in connecting the national leadership relay. Fuad said he also had partiality to the younger generation of achievement by involving young people in strategic policy-making positions.

"We believe that with greater authority, Erick Thohir will be able to create a fair and open climate for young people throughout Indonesia," said Fuad.

Fuad said the man who was born in Jakarta had shown his capacity and capability in advancing the economy in Indonesia. Transformation has proven to have brought real improvements to the body of BUMN.

Erick, continued Fuad, managed to restore a number of state-owned companies that were previously in bad condition. Even with decisive steps by cooperating with the Attorney General's Office and the KPK in uncovering corruption cases that harm the state and society.

"The results are clear, SOE profit has increased dramatically from Rp. 13 trillion in 2020, then Rp. 124 trillion in 2021, and 2022 it is estimated that it will be more than Rp. 200 trillion," continued Fuad.

Fuad said Erick also had partiality in opening job opportunities, both for MSMEs and young people. Fuad gave an example of a number of concrete programs such as KUR, PNM Mekaar, Makmur, to the Startup Day event.

"Pak Erick continues to echo the pro-people economy. This is what led Erick Thohir as the best minister and has been the mainstay of President Joko Widodo since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic until now," said Fuad.

Indonesia Moeda in West Kalimantan comes from various backgrounds, ranging from professionals, entrepreneurs, activists, and other potential young figures. Fuad said Erick Thohir was able and worthy to continue Indonesia's hopes, ideals, and legacy.
