Accelerating The Fourth Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccination, The Bogor Regency Government Has Asked The West Java Provincial Government For Another 5 Thousand Vaccines

The Bogor Regency Health Office (Dinkes) has proposed an additional 5,000 vials of vaccine for the implementation of phase two of the COVID-19 booster vaccination or the fourth dose.

The Head of Disease Prevention and Control Service (P2P) of the Bogor District Health Office explained that the application for additional vaccines to the West Java Provincial Government was carried out following the implementation of phase two of the booster vaccination in his area.

"For the vaccine, we are submitting it to the province, because the (vaccine) yesterday was exhausted. So we depend on the center, yes (given how much), yesterday we signed the submission of 5,000 vials," said Adang in Cibinong, Bogor, Wednesday, February 1, confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the second phase of the booster vaccination in Bogor Regency has been started for the past two weeks. The implementation is spread across each puskesmas. However, currently, the second phase of the booster is prioritized for health workers.

Adang said that the technical implementation of phase two of the booster vaccination in each puskesmas was carried out in a mass manner at the opening of one vaccine vial.

"Because one vial is for 10 people, so they usually gather first, for example, eight people have only opened one vial. If one person is opened one vial, it will run out later, because if it's been six hours, it's immediately thrown away," he said.

For people who want to be vaccinated against booster phase two, he said, they just need to come to the nearest health center by bringing evidence of previous vaccinations through the PeduliLindung application.

He explained that people can be vaccinated against booster phase two at least after passing the three-month period from the previous vaccination stage.

"If there is no (previous vaccine information) then the second stage of the booster vaccine cannot be done. Actually, if it is already three months, it could only be that later the documents will not come out," said Adang.
