JAKARTA - A mosque administrator was killed by a wall when he was working on community service at the Al Khoiriyah Mosque, Jalan Joe Kelapa III, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, Saturday, January 2.

Based on information from South Jakarta City Fire and Rescue (Damkar) officers, the victim named AA Wawan was 50 years old.

South Jakarta Damkar picket officer, Prawito, said that the victim was hit by a wall while he was working together to demolish the building for the mosque parking lot.

"According to information, the victim named AA Wawan, aged 50 years, is carrying out the work of dismantling the pillars of the building which will be used as a mosque parking area," said Prawito.

Chronology of the incident, South Jakarta Damkar officials received a report asking for help to evacuate victims who were hit by a collapsed wall at 09.45 WIB.

Officers arrived at the location at Jalan Joe Kelapa II RT 03 / RW 06 Jagakarsa Urban Village, South Jakarta and made an evacuation effort at 10:00 WIB.

According to Prawito, the victim dismantled the pillar from below, when the building was about to collapse the victim was unconscious, while his colleagues ran out of the building site.

"According to information, the victim had been hit by a building around 08.45 WIB, at that time the victim was still alive. Meanwhile, the report was sent to the Fire Department at 09.45 WIB," said Prawito.

The evacuation process takes place using beco heavy equipment from the Jagakarsa District Water Resources Office.

The ruins of the victim were successfully removed at 11.00 WIB, and the victim was declared dead.

"The handling of removing victims who were declared dead by the paramedics 112, by lifting the rubble assisted by heavy equipment from the Water Management Agency," said Prawito.
