JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today, Sunday, January 29.

A total of 17,208 specimens were examined with the results of 165 new positive cases of COVID-19.

The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,729,573 people and active cases have fallen by 36 to 4,435 cases, said Ministry of Health data, Sunday.

Today's recovered cases increased by 199 cases, bringing the total to 6,564,335 recovered people. Then, positive confirmation who died was 1 person and a total of 160,803 people.

The province with the highest new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 63 cases, bringing the total to 1,539,393 cases. Followed by West Java with 43 new cases so that the total becomes

1,234,803. East Java has 19 new cases with a total of 637,555. Then, Banten with 14 new cases, bringing the total to 365,863 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 78 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 39 recovered cases, and West Java with 21 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 20 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 114,750,897.

"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 1.85 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 787 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 204,231,770 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 175,070,617 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 69,387,273 and the fourth dose of vaccination was 1,262,286. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
