Israel's Hemorious Offensive Attack In The Extensive Jenins In Two Decades, Indonesia: Harding For Middle East Peace

JAKARTA - Indonesia condemns Israeli-blooded attacks in Jenin, the West Bank that caused casualties, assessing that it complicates peace efforts in the Middle East.

A total of ten people were killed in an armed attack by Israel in Jenin, the West Bank on Thursday, making the most bloody attack in the region in the last two decades.

"Indonesia strongly condemns the excessive use of force by Israeli security forces in Jenin that have killed 9 (nine) Palestinian civilians," the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote on Twitter, as quoted January 27.

"Israel's brutal action will further complicate the achievement of peace in the Middle East," the ministry continued.

Indonesia, as one of the countries that has consistently fought for Palestinian independence in international forums, has again urged Israel to respect the rights of the Palestinian people.

"Indonesia calls on the international community and the United Nations to urge Israel to respect the rights of the Palestinian people," said the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Last week, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi again emphasized the need for progress in resolving Palestinian problems, and ending Israel's October forever at a meeting of the United Nations Security Council (DK PBB).

"2023 should be a year of progress in resolving the Palestinian issue. It is our shared responsibility to end Israel's October forever" Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said at the UN's UN's UN's (Open Debate) Meeting in New York, United States on Wednesday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Thursday, January 19.

Foreign Minister Retno said it was important to draw up concrete steps to achieve peaceful solutions.
