JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has a program to build through roads or missing links in several areas. Head of the Bina Marga Office Hari Nugroho explained the reason why the DKI Provincial Government prefers to connect roads rather than widen roads. Har explained that road connecting work is more effective than widening the existing roads. Both of them do need the process of land acquisition owned by residents. However, he said, land acquisition for roads through is easier. "If the missing link has taken advantage of the land acquisition that we have done. In planning the road construction program, Hari mentioned 10 locations where new roads will be added in Jakarta. Hari revealed that his party had made an inventory of 5 locations where land acquisition would be carried out first this year, before continuing with the execution of the construction of new roads. "There is a plan for 2023 to start the (long) release process. If it is free, continue construction," said Hari. Meanwhile, land acquisition in the other 5 locations will continue depending on the continuation of the progress of the 5 locations determined to be carried out first. "If those who are ready can be done this year," he continued. Hari said, the opening of this new road aims to unravel congestion by breaking down the volume of vehicles crossing these roads. From the opening of this road, Hari claims there will be an impact of reducing traffic density by up to 30 percent in these locations. "The projection can be 20 to 30 percent reducing congestion.
