Badminton Makes Realm Bandung, Walkot Yana Support Police Shooting At The Place

The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, supports the police's firm stance on shooting at the place of the robbers. This effort is to create a deterrent effect for the perpetrators and prevent repeat crimes. He also agreed that this would make people feel safer and more comfortable when doing activities in Bandung to prevent rampant crime, especially at night.

"We just agree, the police understand the limits. But again hopefully there will be a deterrent effect," said Yana in Bandung, West Java, Thursday, January 26, quoted by Antara. In addition, he also invited the public to improve the environmental security system (sikamling) in their respective areas.

Currently, according to him, the Bandung City Government through linmas is also increasing routine patrols in areas simultaneously in 30 sub-districts.

Previously, members of the Bandung Polrestabes were forced to shoot several criminals in the leg for trying to fight the officers when they were arrested. The perpetrator who was shot was a suspected mugging of an elementary school student in Cicendo, Bandung City, on Thursday, January 12. In addition, the police also took a similar action against the robbers who stabbed an online motorcycle taxi driver in the Gegerkalong area, Bandung City, Tuesday, January 24.
