LUWU UTARA - The Governor of South Sulawesi, Nurdin Abdullah handed over 50 units of Permanent Residential Houses (Huntap) to victims of flash floods, in Bone Tua Village, Masamba District, North Luwu Regency (Lutra).

"I don't think it's too long for the community to wait to get a house. That's why I talked to Ibu Indah. We will continue, if I'm not mistaken, we still need 200 (Huntap Unit) here. So just continue according to land capacity, I don't want to mention the value but according to the land capacity. and the ability to build, "said Nurdin Abdullah in a written statement by the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, Wednesday, December 30.

The construction of 50 residential houses still takes 68 days. Work starts from Tuesday, October 13 to Tuesday, December 22.

This house will be filled in the future by 50 family heads (KK) residents of North Luwu Regency who lost their settlements due to floods on Monday, July 13.

Prof. NA, when accompanied by the Regent of Lutra, Indah Putri Indriani, in the handover of the permanent residential house, explained that during the two years leading South Sulawesi, she always positioned herself as the representative of the central government in the regions. The South Sulawesi Provincial Government always collaborates with district and city governments in South Sulawesi.

"I have received the Governor's mandate for more than two years. Of course I will position myself as the representative of the central government in the regions. So I do not compete to build with the regents, but fully support the regents," he said.

"So don't ever hesitate if there is something we have to intervene, God willing, we will. So I think today I also do not understand that a house like this can be built quickly at a very cheap price," continued Prof. NA.

Prof. NA said that the 50 Huntap units were an extraordinary effort from the North Luwu Regent and the entire North Luwu Forkopimda. Appreciation was also conveyed to various parties so that the Huntap could stand firm.

"The Regent's efforts are something extraordinary to be able to present. I think the government's obligation is when there is a problem in the community the government is present," he said.

Meanwhile, the Regent of North Luwu, Indah Putri Indriani, felt grateful for the assistance and presence of the Governor of South Sulawesi in handing over the Huntap to the beneficiaries.

"Alhamdulillah, we are grateful that the Governor took the time to attend to hand over 50 housing units built for victims of the flash flood disaster some time ago," he explained.

According to Indah, the presence of the Governor of South Sulawesi at the handover ceremony was due to a humanitarian call, because he only invited him via WhatsApp.

"Alhamdulillah, only WhatsApp capital, he immediately responded. Alhamdulillah he was here today. As long as the Governor was present at the last two years, there was always a bonus from the Governor," he said.
