See More Clearly The Commitment Of Minister Hadi Tjahjanto So That Houses Of Worship Don't Get Land Issues

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto is committed to accelerating the implementation of Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) to prevent land problems. This also includes the assets of religious organizations in Indonesia.

"We want the land assets of the institution or religious organization of the Indonesian Bishops' Conference (KWI) to have legal certainty, so that it is not taken by the land mafia. Our commitment is firm, guard houses of worship from land issues," Hadi Tjahjanto said in a written broadcast in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 25.

Hadi said the task of the Ministry of ATR/BPN was not only to oversee land problems but also to register KWI land assets. In addition, the Ministry of ATR/BPN will also provide education and outreach ranging from preparation to registration of KWI assets land.

"This is part of the commitment of the Ministry of ATR/BPN to resolve the problem (land) of places of worship, so that later after being registered there will be no problems in the future," said Hadi Tjahjanto as quoted by Antara.

Hadi hopes that the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of ATR/BPN and KWI will not only end ceremonially, but will be followed up with various programs or joint activities in the future.

KWI chairman Antonius Subianto Bunjamin thanked the Ministry of ATR/BPN for protecting assets owned by KWI. According to him, "This MOU will make it easier for us to manage related to land assets and this is a blessing for us and all people in Indonesia," he said.

"This is also a sign of the development of a good relationship between KWI and the government, where KWI has 37 diocese territory in Indonesia spread from Sumatra to Papua," he said.

This event was signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of ATR/BPN and KWI which took place at the KWI Building, Jakarta on Tuesday (24/1) attended by Deputy Minister of ATR/Deputy Head of BPN Raja Juli Antoni, Director General of Land Determination and Registration Suyus Windayana, Director General of Spatial Planning Gabriel Triwibawa, Plt. Director General of Land Disputes and Conflict Handling Ilyas Tedjo; as well as the ranks of the Ministry of ATR/BPN and KWI ranks.
