DENPASAR - Denpasar Police, Bali, is investigating the death of an employee of a state-owned bank named Ni Putu Widiastuti (24) who is suspected of being a murder victim. Ni Putu was murdered at his home on Jalan Kerta Negara Gang Widura Number 24 Denpasar.

"It is still strengthening the evidence but it points to one person. We are still in the field still exploring this," said Denpasar Police Chief Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 30.

Jansen said that the CCTV examination and six witnesses including the victim's boyfriend had been carried out. Evidence that has been secured, namely sharp objects that resemble a kitchen knife.

According to him, 25 stab wounds were found on the victim's body, which can be confirmed as the cause of death of the victim. "From the doctor's examination, it was confirmed that the death victim was due to dozens of stab wounds, including five suspected deadly wounds in the chest and neck area," said the Police Chief.

Regarding the indication that the victim's girlfriend was the perpetrator in this case, the Police Chief said that the Denpasar Police investigation team was still in depth.

"Evidence has been secured and matched with the results of the external post mortem. We have already processed the crime scene, hopefully we will soon reveal it. The motorbike of the missing victim is also still being traced, including from CCTV, it appears that a motorbike came out at that time," he said.

The murder case was discovered from the discovery of a woman's corpse on Monday, December 28 morning.
