IPW Suspects Ferdy Sambo Will Open Police's 'Secret' After Death Penalty In Brigadier J Murder Case

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Indonesia Police Watch (IPW), Sugeng Teguh Santoso suspects that Ferdy Sambo will 'open up' if he is later sentenced to a heavy sentence in the case of the alleged premeditated murder of Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J. This includes violations involving high-ranking members of the National Police.

"If Sambo receives the death penalty, he is fighting for his life and death. If he receives a death penalty, his resistance will stiffen," Sugeng told reporters, Tuesday, January 24.

Sugeng called this allegation because Ferdy Sambo had held the position of Head of the Profession and Security Division. Where, one of the job descriptions is to handle professional violations committed by members of the National Police.

"He is a former Head of the Propam Division whose daily job is to take action against members of the police, including high-ranking officers who violate it. He will open it up completely," said Sugeng.

Apart from that, there is a possibility that Ferdy Sambo will reveal the violations of the general Police because of the existence of a black book. The book is said to contain records of the flow of funds to several parties.

One of the violations that involved the general of the Police and was mentioned by Ferdy Sambo was the alleged bribery of illegal mining Ismail Bolong.

In this allegation, Ferdy Sambo seemed to be carrying the name of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto. The three-star general was accused of receiving IDR 2 billion in bribes every month.

Ismail Bolong's bribery allegation began with the appearance of an investigation report (LHP) document number R/1253/WAS.2.4/2022/IV/DIVPROPAM, April 7, 2022.

After the trial, Ferdy Sambo even seemed to confirm the LHP. He said the report had been submitted to National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"Yes, the letter is correct," said Ferdy Sambo at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, November 22.

It's just that, Ferdy Sambo didn't talk much about the case which had gone viral because of Ismail Bolong's confession.

Ferdy Sambo asked that the matter be asked directly to the authorized official. Because currently Ferdy Sambo is no longer a member of the National Police.

"Ask the official in charge, the letter already exists," said Sambo.
