2 Russian Caucasians Stuck in Tide at Nunggalan Beach Uluwatu Bali, Evacuated by SAR Team with Extreme Terrain

The SAR team evacuated 2 Russian tourists who were trapped by high tides on Nunggalan Beach, Uluwatu, Badung, Bali/DOC SAR Bali

BADUNG - The SAR team evacuated 2 foreign nationals (foreigners) from Russia who was trapped by high tides on Nunggalan Beach, Uluwatu, Badung, Bali.

"We received information at 23.00 WITA from a friend of the victim asking for evacuation assistance", said the Head of the Bali Basarnas Office, Gede Darmada, Tuesday, January 24.

The two foreign tourists from Russia with the initials GX (25/female) and IK (25/male) tried to survive by taking cover on a high rock.

The field coordinator, Gede Suastra, revealed that the evacuation process had to go through extreme terrain. Access to the victim through the path on the edge of the cliff and then swimming.

"We persuaded the victim to swim with a buoy so he could go up the path", he said.

It took 40 minutes for the process of evacuating 2 Russian foreign tourists who were trapped by the tide on Nunggalan Beach.

"Not many people, in general, know about access to the footpath, we found out after coordinating with hotel security around the beach", said Suastra.
