Update On COVID-19 As Of January 22: New Case 238, Active Case 5,607

JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 21,931 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 238 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,727,847 people and active cases have dropped by 372 to 5,607 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Sunday, January 22.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 84 cases and a total of 1,538,905 cases. Followed by West Java which has 41 new cases with a total of 1,234,439 cases. Banten has 25 new cases and a total of 365,726 cases. East Java has 22 new cases and a total of 637,416 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 104 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 88 recovered cases, DI Yogyakarta with an additional 31 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 30 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 114,587,662.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 1,504 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently there are 204,153,399 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,975,201 the second dose of vaccination.
