Asa Akseyna's Family Reveals Her Son's Mysterious Murder Case

JAKARTA - The police have re-opened an investigation into the death of Akseyna on Ahad Dori, which occurred five years ago. This led the family to the police to uncover this case.

Apart from waiting for the results of the police investigation, the family also returned to collect information related to Akseyna's mysterious death. Although only limited to short questions, the family hopes to help police investigations.

"Actually, the term is not an investigation, but we are only digging up information from several sources and parties," said Akseyna's father, Mardoto, when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, February 4.

Some information has been pocketed by the family, if at any time the police are required to reveal the death of the University of Indonesia student. Even though it is not completely valid, Mardoto does not want to stand idly by to find out who did the murder who killed his son.

"Yes, actually it's just a matter of time (to hand it over to the police). So I still want to find information about this photo related to this case," said Akseyna's father who is also a lecturer at the Air Force Academy (AAU).

Meanwhile, from the police, Karo Penmas DivHumas Polri Brigadier General Argo Yuwono appreciated the steps of the family which enriched information related to the investigation of the Akseyna Case. According to him, the police are still investigating the case which has been running for almost five years so that it can be revealed immediately.

"The usual thing, for example, we get information, we reopen, we check again, it is normal to do so," said Argo

He added that so far the police had asked for information from 28 witnesses questioned by Depok Police investigators. Investigators said he was still trying to uncover the mysterious death case of Akseyna.

For information, Akseyna was found dead floating in the UI lake, on Thursday, March 26 2015. When found, the teenager's body was wearing a backpack filled with stones. This case had received public attention, because until now it is not known where the perpetrator of the murder is a mystery.

The lack of clues also made it difficult for the police to find the perpetrators. Only a letter was received from the boarding room, with an apology written on it. This is what indicates the police if the motive for Akseyna's death was suspected of committing suicide.

But over time, Akseyna's alleged suicide has not been revealed. Even when he served as Kapolda Metro Jaya, Inspector General (now Komjen, red) Iriawan conveyed that the unfolding of the Akseyna murder case was homework (PR) that the police had to solve at a later date.

Evidently, until the Head of the Metro Police has been held by three generals who succeeded Iriawan (Idham Azis, Gatot Eddy, Nana Sujana), the Akseyna case is still ongoing.
