JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Winarto said that his party plans to sterilize its tourist areas from parking cars that are now getting denser to the road. This was conveyed by Winarto at the Commission B meeting of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
"We will encourage some vehicles not to enter the Ancol area. This is what is being prepared so that some of the cars no longer enter," said Winarto at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Thursday, January 19.
Along with that, management will create a parking location on the outside of Ancol which is close to the entrance gate. The location of this new parking lot will later be subject to regular fares in accordance with the rules of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency.
When the vehicle is parked outside, said Winarto, visitors can enter the Ancol area using a shuttle bus provided by the manager.
However, Winarto admitted that the new parking lot that is currently being prepared cannot accommodate 100 percent of the estimated number of vehicles that usually visit the Ancol area.
"Maybe it can't be 100 percent. However, we hope that from that capacity we have prepared approximately 70-80 percent. Later, before entering the gate, we can turn left, park there, just get out of the car, get in there (Ancol area)," explained Winarto.
Meanwhile, Ancol will increase the ticket price for cars that still want to park in tourist areas. Currently, the Ancol car parking ticket tariff is IDR 25 thousand.
"Those who brought their car in, he had to pay for a car ticket. This is not yet the plan. We thought we might increase the car ticket. Visitors have to pay Rp50 thousand if the car enters," explained Winarto.
