Expossation of termination of case prosecution through virtual / intermediate restorative justice

The Aceh High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has stopped prosecuting three cases based on restorative justice after the perpetrators and victims reconciled. Daily Executor (Plh) Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the Aceh Attorney General's Office, Ali Rasab Lubis, said that the termination of prosecution of the three cases was after the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum) approved it. "There were three cases whose prosecutions were terminated after Jampidum agreed. The three were handled by the Bireuen District Attorney and the Aceh Besar District Attorney," said Ali Rasab in Banda Aceh, Antara, Wednesday, January 18. The approval to terminate the prosecution of the three cases through restorative justice was carried out virtually, followed by the Aceh Attorney General's Office and the heads of state prosecutors. The three cases were with the suspect on behalf of Manawiyah handled by the Bireuen District Attorney (Kejari). The suspect was charged with Article 351 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code regarding persecution. Next, the suspect is on behalf of Jasmani in a case of persecution handled by the Bireuen Kejari. The suspect Jasmani was charged with Article 351 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code. "As well as the suspect on behalf of Farhandi, handled by the Aceh Besar Kejari. The suspect Farhandi was charged with Article 378 in conjunction with Article 372 of the Criminal Code regarding fraud," said Ali Rasab Lubis. "The cessation of the six cases in a restorative manner was carried out because the first suspects committed a criminal act," said Ali Rasab Lubis. In addition, the suspects admitted their guilt and have apologized to the victim. The victim has also forgiven the suspect and will not sue again. Ali Rasab Lubis said the peace between the suspects and the victims was known to the public in their environment. The suspect's peace with the victim received a positive response from the community "Furthermore, Jampidum ordered the heads of state prosecutors to issue a letter determining the termination of prosecution based on restorative justice as a manifestation of legal certainty," said Ali Rasab Lubis.
