Gisel, A Perverted Video Suspect, Charged With A Pornography Law With A Maximum Threat Of 12 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - Artist Gisella Anastasia (Gisel) and a man with the initials MYD have been named as suspects in a pornography case. Gisel faces a maximum imprisonment of 12 years.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that Gisel and MYD were suspected by Article 4 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 29 and or Article 8 in conjunction with Article 34 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography.

Article 4 paragraph (1) of the Pornography Law regulates the prohibition of producing, making, reproducing, duplicating, disseminating, broadcasting, importing, exporting, offering, trading, renting, or providing pornography which explicitly contains:

intercourse, including sex that is deviant; sexual violence; masturbation or masturbation; nudity or displays of nudity; genitals; or child pornography

Threats to this article are regulated in Article 29 of the Pornography Law, namely:

Anyone who produces, makes, reproduces, reproduces, disseminates, broadcasts, imports, exports, offers, trades, rents, or provides pornography as referred to in Article 4 paragraph (1) shall be sentenced to imprisonment of at least 6 (six) months and at the maximum. 12 (twelve) years and / or a fine of at least Rp. 250 million and a maximum of Rp. 6 billion.

"(With threats) a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 years in prison," Yusri told reporters, Tuesday, December 29.

Gisel and MYD were named as suspects based on the title of the case on Monday, December 28 afternoon.

Yusri said MYD was a male figure who had sex with Gisel in the video. They committed immoral acts in a hotel in Medan, North Sumatra.

"Sister GA acknowledged and MYD admitted that it was what was in the video circulating on social media, it was herself," said Yusri.

Yusri said that the investigator in ensuring that the woman was the investigator did not only refer to Gisel's statement. Because from the results of the forensic examination, the woman was identical to Gisel.

"It is strengthened again by the existing forensic experts and IT experts," continued Yusri.
