JAKARTA - The police arrested Alex Bonpis, who is a large dealer in Kampung Bahari, North Jakarta (Jakut). Apparently, Alex was also a recipient of methamphetamine from the Inspector General Teddy Minahasa network.

"Yes (Alex Bonpis received methamphetamine from Inspector General Teddy Minahasa's network, ed)," said Deputy Director of Drugs at the Metro Jaya Police AKBP Donny Alexander to VOI, Tuesday, January 17.

Based on the results of the interim examination, Alex Bonpis was one of the buyers of methamphetamine from the accomplices of Inspector General Teddy Minahasa.

However, to prove its connection with the network of the former West Sumatra Police Chief, Alex Bonpis is still being investigated intensively.

"So far it is still being investigated and deepened," said Donny.

Alex Bonpis is a fugitive in a drug case. The DPO status was first issued because he was involved in the circulation of five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in June 2022.

Then, the status of the second DPO was issued in October 2022. This is because he was the mastermind behind the circulation of one kilogram of methamphetamine.

However, Alex Bonpis was arrested on Tuesday, January 17, in the early hours of the morning. The arrests were made in areas outside Jakarta.

Meanwhile, in the case of Inspector General Teddy Minhasa, he allegedly sold five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine which was evidence.

In this case, other police officers involved Aipda AD (members of the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit, Kompol KS, (Kapolsek Kali Baru Polres Tanjung Priok Port), Aiptu J (member of the Tanjung Priok Port Police), and AKBP Doddy Prawira Negara (Head of the West Sumatra Rologist, former Bukittinggi Police Chief of the West Sumatra Police).

In addition, there are also female civilians with the initials L or Linda. He is said to have sold methamphetamine to Kampung Bahari.
