Unemployment Increases, Cak Imin Asks The Government To Anticipate The Proliferation Of Criminality

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin asked the government to anticipate the emergence of social turmoil due to the threat of wave termination of employment (PHK) which is lurking the Indonesian people. "The economic problem is very vulnerable to increasing crime numbers. As the unemployment rate increases, it is clearly very worrying about social turmoil," said Cak Imin, Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar's nickname, in a statement to Antara, Monday, January 16. Cak Imin assessed that the high unemployment rate in Indonesia has the potential to create various social problems in the community, especially related to the increase in crime due to economic pressure experienced by the perpetrators. Thus, in the midst of a worrying situation related to the social turmoil problem, Cak Imin asked the government to immediately take various appropriate policies against the threat of layoffs which would increase the number of unemployed in Indonesia. "Currently, the absorption of the workforce is only around 2.9 million workers. This condition (social turmoil threat) can be anticipated with the conditions of normal and stable economic conditions," he said.

This further triggered the company to offer resignations to its 1,600 employees.
