JAKARTA - The Uralvagonzavod defense manufacturer has delivered a new batch of advanced T-90M Proryv main combat tanks (MBT) to the Russian military, the company announced on Thursday.
"Uralvagonzavod (part of the UZZ Group within the Rostec state company) has successfully fulfilled its next contract for the delivery of the T-90M Proryv tank. The armored Batch has been sent to the Russian Ministry of Defense," the statement read.
The company added that the assembly line at Nizhny Tagil was operating around the clock to accelerate the launch of new tanks.
MBT T-90M features new towers, next-generation reactive armored, new cannons, advanced communications devices and stronger machines, the company's press office quoted Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov as saying.
"They are equipped with sophisticated equipment that help tank crews attack targets effectively. UZZ has complied with the defense procurement plan on time," explained Manturov.
