PANDEGLANG - The Criminal and Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Pandeglang Police arrested two men with the initials JA and YA, residents from Pandeglang Regency, because they were known to have stolen buffalo.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pandeglang Police, AKP Kasetton, said the arrests of the perpetrators were based on reports from residents who reported missing buffalo. Upon receiving the report, the police immediately hunted down the perpetrators and now the two perpetrators have been arrested.

"On Monday (9 January) yesterday, the Pandeglang Police Satreskrim managed to pocket the identities of the perpetrators. After successfully pocketing his identity, we immediately pursued the perpetrators," said Mikhaton in a written statement, Friday, January 13.

However, said Mikhaton, at the time of his arrest, two of the perpetrators managed to escape and after pursuing him, the two perpetrators were finally arrested.

"When we carried out the raid, it turned out that two people managed to jump away, but in the end we managed to catch it," he said.

Based on the perpetrator's confession, continued Mitton, the two of them acted in the Cimanggu, Pandeglang and Malingping areas of Lebak Regency. From the hands of the perpetrators, his party also secured 4 stolen buffalo.

"The evidence is 4 buffalo. Each buffalo has a selling value of IDR 30 million," he said.

The perpetrator is subject to Article 363 Paragraph (1) of the theft of livestock and Paragraph (4) of theft committed by two people together or more with a maximum imprisonment of seven years.
