The Formula E Implementing Committee Will Be Formed At The End Of This Month, Anyone?

JAKARTA - VP Corporate Secretary of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Syachrial Syarif said the implementing committee for Formula E 2023 is targeted to be formed by the end of this month. Now, Jakpro as the BUMD organizer of Formula E is preparing to form it.

"Development of Formula E preparations, we will form a committee. We hope that by the end of this month there will be a committee," Syachrial told reporters, Friday, January 13.

Syachrial said, after the committee is formed, Jakpro and the committee will carefully develop a big concept for the Formula E event. After that, the parties elected as committees will receive assignments according to their committee positions.

Then, who are the people who will be appointed as the organizing committee for this electric car racing event? Syachrial admitted that his party had not yet determined. What is clear, they are people who are struggling in the world of racing.

"We have to involve professionals who may really understand the race and we don't know whether it's still the same as last year or not," said Syachrial.

At the 2022 Formula E event, former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan appointed the management of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) as the Formula E committee.

At that time, the Chairperson of the Formula E Steering Committee who was chosen was IMI Chairman Bambang Soesatyo who is also the Chairman of the MPR RI, Chairman of the Organizing Committee is IMI Secretary General Ahmad Sahroni who is also a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, to Vice President Infrastructure and General Affairs OC Formula E which was carried by former Secretary General IMI Irawan Sucahyono.

"Maybe we will involve more coordination than IMI, yes," he said.

Syachrial explained that Jakpro as the BUMD organizer of Formula E will still coordinate intensively with FEO as the license holder of Formula E regarding the preparation of the team that will be assigned to this electric car racing event.

What is clear is that the format of the Jakarta E-Prix race is still in the brewing stage. What is clear is that the general form of the event is no different from the 2022 event.

"The event format is still the same as last year," he said.
