Silent When Asked About Special Relations With Brigadier J, Putri Candrawathi: I Am A Victim Of Sexual Violence

JAKARTA - The suspect in the alleged premeditated murder case, Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat (Brigadier J), Putri Candrawathi, admitted that she was silent when asked if she had a special relationship with Yosua by the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK).

“At that time I still managed to communicate with the psychiatrist. However, when communicating with the psychologist, I was silent," said Putri Candrawathi in court, as monitored from the YouTube channel of the South Jakarta District Court, Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, January 12.

When asked why she was silent, Putri Candrawathi explained that at that time, the psychologist who communicated with her immediately asked if she had a special relationship with Yosua.

Hearing this question, Putri Candrawathi was silent because she refused to answer. "I am a victim of sexual violence, why am I always assumed negatively by people?", she said in court.

She admitted that she felt sad because people could not understand that she was on Putri Candrawathi's side, and as herself.

"I am so embarrassed, and do people think about my children's feelings with questions or reports that their mother is having an affair with someone else?" said Putri Candrawathi.

Thus, Putri Candrawathi emphasized that after the first question from the LPSK was asked to her, she was silent and did not want to answer further questions.

During the trial that was held on Wednesday, Putri Candrawathi was examined as a defendant in the case of the alleged premeditated murder of Brigadier J. Apart from Putri Candrawathi, there were four other defendants involved in this case, namely Ferdy Sambo, Richard Eliezer, Ricky Rizal, and Kuat Ma'ruf.

The five defendants were charged with violating Article 340 subsidiary Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 first paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
