PENAJAM - Polda Kalimantan Timur memperketat pengamanan jalur laut guna memperlancar pengiriman material dan logistik untuk kebutuhan pembangunan Ibu Kota Nusantara atau IKN. "The delivery of materials and logistics for the development needs of the new capital city of Indonesia uses sea lanes more," said Head of the East Kalimantan Regional Police Inspector General Imam Sugianto during a working visit at the Penajam Paser Utara Police, Antara, Thursday, January 12. The Regional Police Chief said that the activities of the material transport ship and logistics for IKN development are predicted to be congested from 2023 so that sea lane security needs to be tightened. "With the increase in the delivery of materials and logistics, the security of waterways is intended so that there are no disturbances and accidents," he said. He added that the East Kalimantan Regional Police had coordinated with stakeholders in securing the sea route. "We have discussed intensively securing the sea lane for shipping materials and logistics, it is hoped that there will be no obstacles in its implementation," added the Kapolda. The construction of the new Indonesian capital city is underway, including the Sepaku-Semoi Dam, the Sepaku River takeover, the widening of the Petung-Sepaku axis road, the Sepaku ring road, workers' flats, and reservoirs in the core area of the IKN. The government plans to build State Palaces, ministry offices and other state institutions, as well as several toll road points connecting the new capital city of Indonesia in 2023. Imam Sugianto emphasized that securing the material and logistics delivery route for the construction of IKN is the main concern of the National Police.
