JAKARTA - The release of the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital was declared complete today, Thursday, January 12. He was declared healthy and eligible for an examination. "From the examination of the medical team, the person concerned has been declared fit to stand trial so that an examination can be carried out in order to complete the case file," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, January 12. Lukas will immediately undergo examination as a suspect. Investigators will seek all information related to the alleged bribery and gratuities he did. "The investigation will be carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building," said Ali. Furthermore, the KPK ensures that the examination process is in accordance with applicable legal rules. "All rights of Lukas as a suspect have also been complied with," said Ali. "We make sure that the KPK fulfills all legal procedures, however, we will still fulfill the rights of the suspect as stipulated in the applicable legal provisions," he said. For information, Lukas was taken away because he was sick and could not be questioned. This release was made after he was arrested in Jayapura, Papua on Tuesday, January 10 because he was considered uncooperative. In this bribery and gratification case, Lukas allegedly received money from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka. This gift is suspected so that the private sector can get a project in Papua. Apart from Lukas, it is suspected that this collusion was also carried out with officials in the Papua Provincial Government. The agreement between them is to provide a fee of 14 percent of the contract value. Fee must be free from tax reduction. At least, there are three projects that Rijantono got for this evil consensus. The first is the improvement of the Entro-Hamadi Road with a project value of Rp. 14.8 billion. Rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure supporting PAUD Integration with a project value of IDR 13.3 billion. Finally, the venue environmental planning project developed outdoor AURI with a project value of IDR 12.9 billion. After the project was won, Rijantono handed over Rp1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to billions of rupiah.
