Regarding The 2024 Presidential Election, Puan Reminded PDIP Cadres Not To Become Political Observers

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani reminded party cadres bearing the bull symbol not to get confused about the 2024 presidential election. They are asked to focus on winning the party instead of becoming political observers.

"We are party officials. Our job is to win a party, not become a political observer. There is no need to be careful," said Puan when speaking at Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for members of the PDIP DPRD throughout Indonesia in the Central Jakarta area, Monday, January 9.

Puan said PDIP must win three times in a row or have a hat trick according to the direction of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri. Thus, the party's hard work is needed.

Moreover, said Puan, Megawati already pocketed the names of the candidates to be carried in the 2024 presidential election.

"Just stay with you. So you don't look left and right. You don't have to be confused, you have to be that one," he said.

Furthermore, the chairman of the DPR RI also advised that cadres should not be influenced by recent surveys. "Just go down, go down to the field," said Puan.

"We are a big party. This big. So it's not possible that we don't have cadres to be nominated. Don't worry, relax, relax," he continued.

In addition, Puan also asked the cadres to follow the existing party line. "We all must be ready to follow the instructions and orders of the general chairman," he concluded.
