SERANG AR (36), a resident of Ciruas, Serang Regency, was judged by the masses for stealing a pick-up car belonging to a food seller on the edge of Jalan Raya Palka, Sindangsari, Tuesday, January 3 at around 23.00 WIB.

The Head of Pabuaran Police, AKP Ahmad Rifai, explained that the white car with police number A 8626 AJ belonged to ES, who at the time of the incident was parked next to the victim's coffee shop.

It is known that the theft began when the victim's sister was cleaning up merchandise at the shop, then heard the car running. When checked the car was already running.

"After that, the US immediately shouted and chased the vehicle that was taken away. The victim's screams invited the community who finally helped chase," said Ahmad Rifai in a written statement, Wednesday, January 4.

Residents passing by tried to catch AR by narrowing the vehicle. Until finally AR stopped and got out of the car, to escape.

"Residents are looking for the perpetrator who fled to the garden behind the residents' house. Half an hour later the perpetrator came out through the back of the residential area and pretended to buy food at a chicken pecel shop with dirty pants and did not wear sandals," explained Ahmad Rifai.

Residents who were suspicious, searched the perpetrator at the pecel shop, found two "T" eyes hidden under the perpetrator's table cap.

"After that the perpetrator was secured by residents and was judged by the period, then the perpetrator was secured in one of the residents' houses by the head of the local RT and handed over to the Pabuaran Police," explained Rifai.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 7 years.
