DKI Buys A Lot Of New Service Equipment And Vehicles To Handling Floods, Heru Budi: Immediately Move!

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono reviewed the results of the procurement of new operational service equipment and vehicles (KDO) belonging to the Bina Marga Office in anticipation of extreme weather to flooding.

In handing over the equipment and KDO for use by the Bina Marga Office at the Bina Marga equipment and supplies unit office, Cakung-Cilincing, Pulogebang District, East Jakarta, Heru asked the ranks to immediately work using the new equipment.

"With the addition of facilities and infrastructure at the Bina Marga Office, there are 15 items, including transport vehicles. I ask the Head of the Service to work directly, move, especially to places where the location really needs to be repaired. Directly to the regions and immediately work," said Heru, Wednesday, January 4.

Heru said the procurement of equipment and KDO was carried out through e-catalog. Because the condition is still new, Acting Governor Heru advised for routine maintenance, so that it can be used to serve the community properly.

"Because it's still new, the condition is good. I entrust it to be treated. Hopefully it will be useful for public services," he said.

Continuing, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Highways Agency, Hari Nugroho, explained that the procurement of official equipment was only carried out because the last procurement occurred in 2000. The condition of the vehicle is no longer able to support the acceleration of handling the impact of extreme weather in DKI Jakarta.

The auction process for the procurement of field equipment and KDO distributed to the Department and Sub-Department comes from the DKI Jakarta Regional Budget. Hari claims that his party prioritizes buying domestic products.

"Regarding the budget, using the APBD, the process is through an e-catalog. So, if there are domestic products, we buy them. We focus on it. Then, if there are no domestic products, then we buy foreign products," explained Hari.

Furthermore, Hari explained, this official equipment and vehicle will be used according to standard operating procedures (SOP) for handling starting before, during, and after inundation.

The step taken before the inundation occurred was the DKI Jakarta Highways Service repairing the water lines that became the waterway into the drainage. When there was a puddle, the DKI Jakarta Highways Service Task Force took to the field.

Then, after the inundation occurred, the Bina Marga Service Task Force continued to go to the field to help accelerate the handling of repairing roads that had potholes due to inundation or flooding.

"Of course, faster. This new equipment is still precise, so it's fast. Automatically with this new equipment, the handling will be faster," he added.
