RIAU - Head of the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) of Riau Province, Ikhwan Ridwan said, throughout 2022 there were 42 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the Riau Provincial Government applying for a divorce permit due to the unstable economy as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. "The divorce permit issued in 2022 is recorded at 42 or an increase compared to 2021 which is 37 people," said Head of the Riau Province Regional Personnel Agency (BKD), Ikhwan Ridwan in his statement in Pekanbaru, Antara, Tuesday, January 3. Regarding the report at the end of 2022, his party only competent to issue a divorce permit submitted by civil servants within the Riau Provincial Government, while the one who decided his divorce was the Religious Court. Apart from economic factors, said Ikhwan Ridwan, many ASNs filed for divorce because one of the couples had an affair, despite mediation efforts, but they still wanted to divorce. "ASN applies for the most divorce from the teaching profession, two men and 14 women. For non-teaching civil servants there are 26 people, consisting of 20 women and 6 men," said Ridwan. Meanwhile, in 2021, 17 teachers who applied for divorce consisted of 14 female teachers and 3 male teachers. For non-teaching civil servants as many as 20 people, consisting of 15 women and 5 men. "In addition to issuing a divorce permit, the Riau BKD in 2022 will also process 24 disciplinary cases of civil servants," he said. Of the 24 cases, one civil servant is involved in a general criminal case and has been dismissed with disrespect (PTDH). "There were 2 civil servants who were temporarily dismissed, who were involved in general criminal cases and were still waiting for the court's decision. Furthermore, 7 civil servants were involved in corruption and 14 civil servants committed disciplinary violations," he said.
