During 1 Day 1,041 Drivers At Ternate Are Ticketed Via ETLE, Most Are Not Wearing Helms And Safety Belts

MALUKU - A total of 1,041 vehicle riders in Ternate violating traffic were recorded on the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) camera.

The data is based on the recap of the Ditlantas Polda North Maluku (Malut) regarding the application of an electronic ticket with an ETLE camera on Monday, January 2.

"According to the results of the electronic ticket, there were 1041 violators and the most were not wearing safety belts and helmets," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Kamsel Ditlantas Polda Malut, Kompol Hendra Gunawan in Ternate, North Maluku, Tuesday, January 3, as reported by Antara.

Hendra said that most of the two-wheeled and four-wheeled riders violate traffic because they do not wear seat belts and do not wear helmets while driving.

In addition, there are also motorists who use cellphones caught on ETLE cameras.

Hendra said that in the near future the violators would receive a notification from the nearest post office.

"Of course, according to the results that were recapitulated, we will still take action against the violators," said Hendra.

Meanwhile, on Sunday January 1, more than 2 thousand violators were caught on the ETLE camera installed on Jalan Hasan Esa, especially at two locations where the Siko red light intersection was located and the Takama area, Ternate City.

"Those who do not wear belts are 1,330, using cellphones while driving there are six riders, without wearing helmets there are 800 drivers and dominated by safety belts and helmets," he said.

In addition to using the ETLE camera, Hendra revealed that the North Maluku Police Traffic Directorate imposed a mobile electronic ticket.

He explained that there were members who patrolled and took pictures of motorists violating traffic. One of them is not wearing a helmet riding a motorcycle on the highway.
