Falling While Running Away, A 16-year-old Boy Was Beaten By 7 People Until His Finger Broke Off

TANGERANG - Seven teenage boys were arrested by the Tangerang Metro Police for the case of mistreatment of a minor. As a result of the perpetrator's actions, the victim's finger was cut off by a sharp weapon.

Tangerang Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho explained, a commotion between the perpetrator and the victim occurred in Neglasari, Tangerang City, Sunday, December 25, at 02.30 WIB. Two groups clashed to cause the victim, LE (16), to suffer injuries to his hands.

"This victim ran when the clashes occurred, but he fell and was finally beaten by the perpetrators. Several parts of his body, even the right hand thumb broke off one segment," said Zain.

Luckily LE was still safe from the beating. After the incident was reported, officers arrested the perpetrators who were still minors, namely RO (15), B (15), S (15), A (15), K (15), R(13), and MTP (16).

"The seven perpetrators were arrested on Monday, December 26 along with evidence," said Zain in his statement, Wednesday, December 28.

They were arrested along with evidence of sharp weapons used during a brawl.

The perpetrators face criminal penalties for beatings and or maltreatment resulting in injuries to the victim using sharp weapons.

"Of course, because of child perpetrators, we involve the PPA Polres unit, the Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children (P2TP2A), including the National Commission for children," he concluded.
