The six KUMKM PLUTs inaugurated by the Vice President are located in Semarang, Purworejo, Buleleng, Dairi, Maros, and Kendari regencies.

The Vice President emphasized that PLUT has a strategic position as the development of the spirit of entrepreneurship, as stated in Presidential Regulation Number 2 of 2022 concerning Entrepreneurship Development, which states that the PLUT KUMKM is one of the Executive Agencys for National Entrepreneurship Development in the regions.

In addition, PLUT has a strategic position in supporting the implementation of Government Regulation Number 2 of 2022, in accelerating the transformation of business actors from informal to formal through NIB assistance, data collection on MSMEs, partnership assistance, and implementation of incubation for MSMEs.

Therefore, the Vice President is happy to be able to attend the inauguration of the Semarang PLUT. It is also hoped that what has been started can be managed and developed properly by the local government so that a conducive entrepreneurial ecosystem is formed to create established entrepreneurs with innovative and sustainable efforts, towards achieving the 2020-2024 RPJMN target, namely the 3.95 percent entrepreneurship ratio and 4 percent new entrepreneurial growth.

In particular, the Vice President also said that the KUMKM PLUT is a control over the development of a national entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports the socio-economic integration of the community in ongoing national strategic projects.

"I also invite us together to develop entrepreneurship in the community. The spirit of entrepreneurship needs to be introduced from a young age by instilling innovative, creative and independent, honest, and never giving up, including in the education curriculum," he ordered.

The Vice President also said that the Government continues to encourage the New PLUT concept launched by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. Thus, the community can adapt and be able to be integrated with the new pattern of economic growth which is the way the world works today.

Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki said that the KUMKM PLUT is currently the embodiment of the MSME house which is the government's tool to accelerate the achievement of targets as mandated in the RPJMN and policies related to today's national economic transformation.

According to Teten, to expand the reach and services of PLUT, by 2022 the construction and revitalization of the KUMKM PLUT through the Physical DAK Thematic Strengthening of Priority Tourism Destinations and IKM Centers for MSMEs to 20 districts/cities with a total budget of IDR 127.6 billion, allocated for land maturation, building development/revitalization, as well as supporting facilities and infrastructure for PLUT services.

He said the thematic policy direction targeted by this program was to accelerate economic recovery and structural reforms through improving the quality and contribution of priority tourism destinations and small and medium industry centers as mandated by the 2020-2024 RPJMN.

"The Immediate outcome (impact) of this activity is to increase productivity, added value, work quality and competitiveness of cooperatives and MSMEs, improve the quality of assistance services (for cooperatives and MSMEs), and increase the number of cooperatives and MSMEs accompanied," said Minister Teten.

PLUT KUMKM is one of the strategic programs of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs by providing inclusive and empowering business assistance services to cooperatives, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs in a comprehensive and integrated and technology-based manner, which has been running since 2013.

To date, 74 units of PLUT KUMKM have been built spread across 74 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia.
