JAKARTA - It is reported that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will conduct a reshuffle of 6 ministries in the near future. However, there is no certainty about the six ministries in question.

Pelita Harapan University (UPH) Political Communication Expert, Emrus Sihombing, assessed that President Jokowi will conduct a reshuffle based on the evaluation results of the ministry. Meanwhile, the 2 ministers who have been confirmed to have a reshuffle are Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo, and Minister of Social Affairs Juliari Peter Batubara for dealing with the KPK.

"What is certain is 2 ministries because they are dealing with Kuningan (KPK). Well, then the president actually evaluates all other ministries. What is evaluated is performance, use of the state budget, integrity, capability, manager skills, leadership, and loyalty. Then, based on Emrus' cursory observation, there are four other ministries whose ministers need to be evaluated. Namely, Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto, Minister of Religion Fachrul Razi, Minister of Trade Agus Suparmanto of Trade, and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Wishnutama.

"The Ministry of Health is because our current problem is tackling COVID-19, it is necessary to think about someone who can handle COVID-19 more effectively and massively," he said.

Meanwhile, Fachrul needs to be replaced because currently Indonesia is facing the behavior of the people who often address issues of identity politics related to religiosity. "This behavior needs attention and there needs to be an evaluation of the minister of religion," he said.

Furthermore, Emrus saw that there was a discourse on the change of Minister of Trade Agus Suparmanto in public because his performance needed to be evaluated. "In my opinion, this needs to be evaluated because the trade minister is racing against exports amid COVID-19, and if our exports are not significant this needs evaluation," he said.

Lastly is Wishutama, because Emrus saw that during the COVID-19 pandemic, no new breakthroughs and strategies were taken. "I see this creative economy, has it developed a significant economy? Then, tourism is indeed sluggish because of COVID-19, but I don't see any significant changes from the breakthroughs made," Emrus said.

For him, these six ministers need to be replaced with new figures and not a shift in ministers. "Do not change places, preferably a new figure in these 6 ministries. Other ministers remain in their positions. Because if they are moved, there will be adjustments to their new positions," he said.

It is reported that President Jokowi will reform the six ministers who currently sit in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. This news was conveyed by the Chairman of the DPP National Justice Party (PKB) Faisol Riza.

"I heard that there will be six positions that will be affected, but there could be more," Faisol told reporters, Monday, December 21.

In addition to reshuffling the ministerial seats, the Chairman of Commission VI DPR RI also said there would be changes in the deputy minister's post in the form of increasing numbers. It's just that Faisol did not explain who the ministers would be reshuffled.

However, based on the leaks he received, Jokowi will fill his cabinet with young people. "(Cabinet, red) will be filled by young people so that the cabinet will be more dynamic," he said.

Regarding the certainty of the reshuffle, it became clearer after the Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono said that a new figure who would sit in the ministerial seat would be introduced to the public on Tuesday, December 22.
