BATAM - The Main Branch Office of PT Pos Indonesia, Riau Islands Province, has distributed wage subsidy assistance (BSU) for 24,764 or around 84.5 percent of workers who are the targets of the wage subsidy program in Batam City.

Head of the Main Branch Office of PT Pos Indonesia, Riau Islands Province, Elan Pramudiansyah, said that BSU had been distributed to 24,764 people out of a total of 29,306 workers who were registered as recipients of wage subsidies in Batam City.

He said that workers registered as BSU recipients can independently check the distribution of aid through the Pospay application.

"For BSU recipients who have checked the Pospay application, they can immediately come to the nearest post office to withdraw the BSU," Elan said as quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 24.

He further conveyed that the distribution of BSU was extended until December 27, 2022.

That way he appealed to all workers registered as recipients of wage subsidies to immediately visit the nearest post office and disburse BSU.

"The government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia has extended the pay period of BSU through PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) until December 27, 2022. Come to the nearest post office to check whether you are registered as a recipient of BSU in 2022 and take BSU funds with the original ID card," said Elan.

Elan said that the socialization of how to use the Pospay application had been carried out intensely to prospective BSU recipient workers.

In addition, according to him, PT Pos provides call center services that workers can use to obtain information about the distribution of BSU.

"We are also helping with the search in a NIK-based form, we are looking for the recipient with the address. Because based on BSU data, it follows the address of the worker company, not a personal address," said Elan.

The government in 2022 provides wage subsidy assistance of IDR 600,000 to workers with a maximum salary of IDR 3.5 million per month or equivalent to the provincial and/or district/city minimum wage which is rounded up to a full hundreds of thousands.

The assistance is only given to Indonesian citizen workers other than civil servants and/or members of the TNI and Polri who are registered as active participants of the employment social security program run by the Employment Social Security Administering Body (BPJS) until at least July 2022.
