KPK Opens Call Opportunities For Khofifah-Emil Dardak In The Grant Fund Bribe Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to summon parties whose statements are needed to investigate allegations of bribery in managing grant funds in East Java Province as witnesses. East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and his deputy, Emil Dardak, are no exception. "Anyone will definitely be summoned as a witness as long as they are suspected of knowing the alleged actions of the suspects so that it becomes clearer and clearer," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to VOI, Thursday, December 22. This summons will be based on the needs of investigators. Ali said, if it was needed Khofifah-Emil would be properly summoned. "We will inform you of the progress," he said. Furthermore, Ali reminded anyone who was summoned to be cooperative. They cannot be absent so that the case for managing grant funds can be investigated thoroughly. "KPK hopes that those who will be summoned to be cooperative will attend," said Ali. In the bribery case for managing grant funds, the KPK has appointed Deputy Chairman of the East Java DPRD Sahat Tua P. Simandjuntak along with his expert staff, Rusdi; Abdul Hamid who is the Head of Jelgung Village, Robatal District, Sampang Regency who is also the Coordinator of the Community Group; and Ilham Wahyudi alias Eeng who is the Coordinator of Pokmas Field. The determination of the suspect was carried out after the KPK held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Surabaya, East Java. After naming Sahat and others as suspects, the KPK moved to look for evidence. In addition to searching the East Java Provincial DPRD Building, the room of the Governor and Deputy Governor of East Java to the Regional Secretary was also visited by investigators. From the successive search, money and documents were found. Furthermore, these findings were taken to the KPK's Red and White Building for analysis and confiscated as evidence.
