Flying To Bali, Vice President Ma'ruf Will Open The ASEAN Islamic Conference

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin left for Bali, Thursday, December 22 morning. The vice president is scheduled to open the 2nd ASEAN Islamic Conference entitled Khairu Ummah.

The vice president was accompanied by his wife Wury Ma'ruf Amin and a limited entourage departing from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Air Force Jakarta using the Boeing 737-400 TNI AU aircraft at around 09.30 WIB.

The vice president is expected to arrive at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, at 10.30 WITA.

After arriving, the Vice President is scheduled to go straight to the conference venue at the Hilton Hotel Bali, in the Nusa Dua area, Bali.

The Vice President will be greeted by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah, and Counseling of Saudi Arabia and the Deputy Minister of Religion.

Based on the Antara report, Indonesia is the host of the 2nd ASEAN Islamic Conference which is a collaboration between the Ministry of Religion and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah, and Saudi Arabia's Counseling.

The conference is scheduled to take place on December 21-23, 2022 in Denpasar and will be attended by around 140 participants from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Timor Leste, and Saudi Arabia.

There were also a number of sources consisting of scholars, academics, and leaders of Islamic community organizations from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A number of materials to be discussed at the conference, namely "Towards the Best People in Strengthening Cooperation and Synergy", "Beware of Extremities in Religion and Culture", "Challenges of Islamic Ormas in Empowerment of People in the Digital Era", "Caring for Social Harmony in the Plural Society" and "Towards a Superior Society Through the Vision of Islamic Education".

In addition to Wury Ma'ruf Amin, he accompanied the Vice President on a working visit from the Head of the Vice Presidential Secretariat Ahmad Erani Yustika, Deputy for Human Development Policy Support and Development Equity Suprayoga Hadi, Special Staff of the Vice President for Communication and Information Masduki Baidlowi, Special Staff of the Vice President for General Affairs Masykuri Abdillah, Special Staff of the Vice President Zumrotul Mukaffa, and Expert Team of the Vice President Johan Tedja Surya.
