The Ministry Of Health Is Prepared 14,641 Facilities For Health Services On The Christmas 2022 Homecoming Line And The 2023 New Year

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has recorded 14,641 health service facilities on the Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 homecoming routes ready to serve the community.

The Director of Primary Health Services at the Ministry of Health, Yanti Herman, said that the readiness of the thousands of health service facilities was based on the collaboration between the Ministry of Health and related agencies to local governments.

"Facing the Christmas and New Year 2023 holidays, we have prepared a number of health service facilities on all homecoming routes. We have prepared a total of 14,641 health facilities," he said in Jakarta, Thursday, December 27, as reported by Antara.

This number consists of 901 health posts, 10,321 health centers, 3,117 hospitals, 51 Port Health Offices (KKP), and 251 Public Safety Centers (PSC) 119.

For puskesmas, hospitals and PSC 119 which are on the main homecoming route, he said, it is mandatory to prepare human resources and services for 24 hours.

The government estimates that there will be a surge in community mobilization of 16.35 percent or the equivalent of 44.17 million people, around 16.65 percent or the equivalent of 7.1 million people, of whom are engaged in Jabodetabek.

With this fairly high level of community mobilization, he said, it is feared that it will have the potential to trigger an increase in COVID-19 cases, and other cases such as accidents.

"The pandemic is not completely over yet, the potential for transmission is still there, even transmission for other infectious diseases to suppress the potential for disease transmission," he said.

The Ministry of Health has coordinated with all relevant agencies to take steps to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

Health posts are prepared at toll exits, toll rest areas, non-toll roads, crossing routes, airports, and places of worship that are crowded with people, and tourist attractions.

In addition to preparing these health facilities, the Ministry of Health also facilitates vaccination services, especially booster doses, at several health posts and health centers.

In addition, health promotions regarding the importance of health protocols during the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year holidays are also carried out at every health post established.

The Primary Health Service Directorate team is scheduled to monitor the readiness of health posts, along with their facilities and infrastructure from 21 to 23 December 2022 on the north coast (Pantura), the south coast (pansela) and the Merak-Bakauheni route.

"The first visit for the Pansela route starts with the Jakarta Cathedral Church to see the church's readiness to face this year's Christmas service," Yanti said.

The head of the Jakarta Cathedral Church, Albertus Hani Rudi Hartoko, has prepared strict health protocols, in addition to having to wear masks during worship, hand sanitizer facilities are prepared at every corner of the church, as well as thermal scanners at the entrance.

The church has also modified the holy water placed in a handanitezer container, so that people who worship collect holy water are no longer together in one container.

Likewise, sermons and prayers have been packaged in the form of e-books, and donations from the people are channeled to the church through a transfer method or QR scan that has been prepared at every church seat.
