Presidential Spokesman Ensures All Indonesian Citizens Evacuated Are Healthy

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Indonesia, M. Fadjroel Rachman, confirmed that all Indonesian citizens (WNI) who were picked up from Wuhan, China, have been declared healthy according to WHO (World Health Organization) standards.

"All are declared healthy. The government carries out all humanitarian evacuation and transit observation processes based on Presidential Instruction No.4 / 2019 under the coordination of two Coordinating Ministers, Menkopolhukam and Menko PMK," said Fadjroel in a statement received by VOI, Sunday 2 February.

Humanitarian evacuation aircraft landed in Batam, Sunday, February 2. The humanitarian evacuation mission of 245 Indonesian citizens desired by all Indonesians, from several city locations (including Wuhan) in Hubei Province, People's Republic of China (PRC), successfully arrived in Batam, Indonesia.

After arriving in Indonesia, according to the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Health, the TNI Commander, the 245 Indonesians will undergo observation transit at the TNI military base in Natuna which has complete hospital facilities managed by a team of doctors from three dimensions (AD, AU, AL).

He is also grateful for the cooperation of all parties in efforts to evacuate Indonesian citizens from Hubei Province, People's Republic of China (PRC) regarding the outbreak of the corona virus in the city of Wuhan.

"Especially the PRC Government, including the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia, the Hubei Provincial government, the Wuhan Airport, of course the Indonesian Embassy has been tireless since the first day of the outbreak of the corona virus which has always communicated with 243 Indonesian citizens in Hubei until the evacuation, as well as the Wuhan branch of the Chinese Indonesian Student Association. who always actively collaborated with the Indonesian Embassy during difficult times (lockdown) in the city of Wuhan, "said Fadjroel.
