Dismantling The Kanjuruhan Stadium Without Permission, 2 People Became Suspects

Malang Police have named two suspects in the case of dismantling without a facility permit at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, East Java.

Kanit 3 said Malang Police Satreskrim Ipda Choirul Mustofa, the two suspects had the initials FHA (19) and YS (46).

"We have conducted a case title which was later named by two suspects for the destruction of the Kanjuruhan Stadium," said Choirul, Tuesday, December 20, quoted from Antara.

The FHA suspect is the person in charge of CV AJT who demolished the Kanjuruhan Stadium facility. Meanwhile, suspect YS is the foreman of the stadium demolition workers located in Kepanjen District.

The chronology of the demolition of the Kanjuruhan Stadium facility began on November 27, 2022. At that time, about 30 people entered the stadium area by breaking the lock and making congratulations.

Then, the next day, there were approximately 15 workers who came and asked for permission to enter the Kanjuruhan Stadium. However, because they could not show the Work Order (SPK), the Malang Regency Dispora Sarpras officer refused.

"However, some workers secretly entered through gate A which was not locked and then dismantled the iron fence standing in front of door D as well as paving coursing in front of doors B and F," he said.

Knowing that there was a demolition of the facility at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, officers from the Malang Regency Dispora expelled the workers. A few days later, the perpetrators came back with SPK from PT ACA.

"However, after we conducted an examination of the related parties, it turned out that the signature on behalf of PT ACA was not true, or fake," he said.

According to him, the SPK was obtained by the perpetrator by buying from someone named SH whose whereabouts are currently unknown. The police are looking for the man with the initials SH.

"This SH claims to be a confidant of the management of PT ACA and sells SPK to perpetrators worth Rp. 750 million, and has paid a down payment of Rp. 350 million," he said.

As a result of the demolition, there was damage to the stands with a length of 12.5 meters and a width of 3.70 meters. Then the demolition of the paving of the evacuation gate B with an area of 17.21 square meters and the demolition of the paving of the evacuation gate F with an area of 34.25 square meters. The loss due to the damage is estimated at IDR 59 million.

Currently, the two suspects are charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code Juncto Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of five years and six months in prison and Article 406 Juncto Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of two years and eight months.
