Malang City Police (Polresta) plans to prepare four service posts and security for the 2022 Christmas Celebration and 2023 New Year in the Malang City area.

One service post will be placed in front of the Ijen Cathedral Church, while three security posts will be prepared at the intersection of the Soekarno Hatta Bridge, Malang Creative Center intersection and the intersection of Jalan Danau Toba in the Sawojajar area.

"In addition to securing several church points, we will also hold large-scale patrols," said Malang City Police Chief Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto in Malang City, as quoted from Antara, Saturday, December 17.

Malang Police are planning to deploy hundreds of joint personnel for security. They have also prepared security patterns in their respective jurisdictions by deploying approximately 600 joint personnel.

"Of that number, as many as 400 personnel are Malang City Police personnel," said Budi.

Budi explained that as many as 600 personnel would carry out security through patrols in a number of areas in Malang City, including guarding the scattered service and security posts.

According to him, the 600 personnel deployed for Christmas and New Year's security are a combination of the Malang City Police in the ranks of the East Java Regional Police, Kodim 0833/ Malang City, Malang City Satpol PP, Malang City Transportation Agency, community organizations, and student organizations.

He added that the joint personnel will also be involved in the Candle Operation in Malang City from 23 December 2022 to 2 January 2023.

Budi then hopes that people who carry out activities during the Christmas and New Year 2023 holidays can remain careful and vigilant.

"If the community needs police assistance, we are ready 24 hours to serve and help," he said.
