Sister And Missing Brother In The Lasolo River, Basarnas Sultra Sebar 2 Team

A total of two people with the status of their brothers and sisters were reported missing drowned in the Lasolo River, Laronanga Village, Andowia District, North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).

Head of Basarnas Kendari Aris Sofingi said the victims named Milik (21) and his younger brother Erik (17) were reported missing due to being swept away by the current of the Lasolo River.

"We received information from the North Konawe BPBD that reported a dangerous condition for humans against two people who were swept away by the current and drowned in the Lasolo River, North Konawe," he said in Kendari, Thursday, December 8, as reported by Antara.

He conveyed that after receiving the report, his party dispatched a rescue team for the North Konawe SAR Alert Unit to look for victims.

"The North Konawe SAR Alert Unit Rescue Team was dispatched to the accident scene using a rescue car carrying a rubber boat and other safety support equipment," explained Aris.

Aris said the search for the two brothers who were residents of Buke Village, Buke District, South Konawe Regency involved elements of the North Konawe SAR Alert Team, the North Konut Police, the Asera Koramil, the Konut BPBD Rapid Response Team and the surrounding community.

It was explained, at 16.30 WITA the victim, on behalf of Erik, ran and jumped into the Lasolo River. Then after a few minutes the victim's older brother namedap also jumped with the aim of helping his younger brother who had been dragged by the river current.

However, continued Aris, the victim, on behalf of her, was also dragged by the river currents and drowned. A search has been carried out by the family and the surrounding community, but until the information was received by his side, the victim has not been found.

"The search was carried out by the community and the families of the victims with zero results. Thus, we will convey further developments," said Aris Sofingi.
