Cianjur Regency Government Sends Heavy Equipment To Accelerate Cleaning Of Ambruk Houses

JAKARTA - The Cianjur Regency Government has prepared heavy equipment and trucks to speed up cleaning up material for residents' houses that collapsed due to the 5.6 magnitude earthquake last Monday, November 21.

Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman said that the work on cleaning the rubble of collapsed houses was carried out together with the assistance of the TNI/Polri apparatus. And to speed things up, supported by heavy equipment from related agencies in the Cianjur Regency Government and the Ministry of PUPR.

"Cleaning of building materials must be carried out immediately so that the construction of houses can be carried out quickly, we will help whose houses collapsed by lowering heavy equipment plus trucks to facilitate the work of residents and officers," said Herman, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 8.

Residents who have received housing construction assistance from President Joko Widodo are allowed to carry out construction when collapsed building materials are cleaned. Meanwhile, materials that can still be used can be reused so as to reduce costs.

"If there are still wooden blocks, frames, door leaves and windows that are still good, they can be used, so that they can reduce the figure of expenditure. Similar to the message of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, I ask that the aid money be really used to rebuild houses damaged by the earthquake," he said.

The Regent of Cianjur hopes that residents affected by the earthquake can immediately return home and not linger at the evacuation post.

"I hope all affected residents get back up and Cianjur can return to normal," he said.

Meanwhile, members of the TNI/Polri from various units helped residents to clean up the rubble of their damaged houses so that repairs could be immediately carried out and returned to their places, seen in several locations such as Nagrak Village, Cibulakan Village, Sarampad Village, and Sukanakh Village, Cugenang District.
